Lee County deputies are investigating after a male body was recovered from a lake Monday.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones confirmed authorities received a missing person report on a 20-year-old male on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
He was last seen around 11 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024. evening approximately 11pm.
“Some personal effects including cell phone located on bank of Heath lake yesterday afternoon,” Sheriff Jones added. Heath Lake is located on Lee Road 425 off of Lee Road 240.
As the investigation continued, Lee County Sheriff Marine Operations Dive Team began searching the lake where they later recovered a male body. Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Jones says while the incident remains under investigation, foul play is not suspected.
