Macon County first responders are on the scene of an 18-wheeler fire.

The fire is taking place on Interstate 85 at Mile Marker 21 heading southbound. The 18 wheeler is fully engulfed, along with the grass on both sides of the southbound lanes and the guardrail.

It is unclear if anyone was injured. Both southbound lanes are blocked, and northbound lanes are heavily delayed with traffic.

If heading southbound, drivers are asked to exit at Exit 22 (Shorter).
