Newnan Police are on the scene of an “active” incident on Second Avenue in their jurisdiction.

Police are asking all citizens to avoid the area. “There is no threat to the public, no further information will be released at this time,” police added.

Viewers reported hearing gunshots in the area, but that is unconfirmed.
