A shooting investigation is underway after officers and medics were dispatched to 100 block of East Crovat Street to find a man shot.

The man was shot twice – one time in the chest and another in the arm – and was found laying in the street by authorities responding. The man was treated at the scene by officers and paramedics and eventually transported via helicopter to a metro Atlanta area hospital.

Investigators later learned the name of the suspect involved. He was identified as Jermill Fannin. Fannin had been in an altercation with the injured victim in the 100 block of West Crovat Street. “During this argument Fannin shot Cole twice before fleeing the scene,” investigators said. “Warrants were subsequently issued for Fannin for Criminal Attempt Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.”
