The deceased teen was identified as 16-year-old Nydarrian Laye, according to Troup County Coroner Erin Hackley. Laye was pronounced deceased at 4:45 PM at Wellstar West Georgia. An 18-year-old identified as Lasabyan Mikal Harden suffered one gunshot wound to the left leg. “It was determined during the investigation that Laye and Harden were both shot during an altercation at the same location,” police said.
