Cataula Vol. Fire-Rescue thanked for assisting CFDEMS during Saturday apartment fire

CNAW2NEWS.com viewers have read articles about the Saturday apartment building fire in north Columbus.

Authorities in Columbus were alerted to a fire at a newly built and unoccupied building at Greystone Pointe on Old Guard Road.

Columbus Fire and EMS crews, along with citizens, thanked Cataula Volunteer Fire and Rescue for coming to the scene to assist.

A post shared by the Harris County department said: “There wasn’t much glory involved in it but helping us load 2000 feet of 5″ supply line is no easy task.”

“These folks showed up all smiles and zero complaints and these guys and gals don’t get enough credit. No pay, no nothing,” the post added. “Showed up on their own time on their own dime to assist us. Thank you all for what you do.”

An investigation into the fire remains ongoing.
