The Columbus Police Department is asking the public for assistance locating 53-year-old Victor Allen Chavez, who was last seen in the 1000 Block of Bay Avenue (near Whitewater Express) on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022 at approximately 7:00 A.M.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and blue Nike tennis shoes. He has a long white goatee and wears glasses. He stands at 5’9” and weighs 300-pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair.

He suffers from a traumatic brain injury and is wheelchair-bound. “The brain injury occurred during a bad accident,” a family member told CNAW2NEWS.com. “He relies on his walker which he does not have with him.” Chavez and his wife went down to the riverwalk this morning. His wife walked up to Banks Food Hall and when she returned, about an hour later, his wheelchair was empty and he had vanished.
