A United States Postal Service truck was up in flames late Friday afternoon in Phenix City.

The incident occurred on Summerville Road, near the Summerville Animal Hospital. It is unknown if the worker was injured.

Authorities, both fire and police, are on scene. Traffic is backed up in the area.
