LaGrange police are investigating an early morning domestic dispute which left one man behind bars.
The dispute occurred at 304A Hill Street in the city limits of LaGrange today, August 27, 2022, at approximately 2:20 A.M.
When officers arrived they made contact with a woman, who advised that during a verbal and physical altercation, her live-in boyfriend, Gladston Hammett, had grabbed her by the neck and choked her, as well as bit her on the face.
After interviewing both the woman and Hammett and evaluating the physical evidence, it was determined that Hammett had committed an Aggravated Assault (FVA) against the woman.
Gladston Hammett was taken into custody at the scene without incident and transported to the Troup County Jail for processing.
