A deadly shooting is under investigation by authorities Friday night in the city of West Point

The shooting occurred shortly after 9:00 P.M. on East 12th Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The victim was walking down the street when shot in what appears to be a drive by shooting, according to West Point Police Public Information Officer Cedarious Thomas.

The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. Authorities have identified the victim as Allen Holloway.

Georgia Bureau of Investigations has arrived to assist the police department with the crime scene.

Investigators were also able to provide a vehicle description that was used in this incident. The vehicle in question is believed to be a 4 door Honda Accord between the 2007 and 2012 model and gray in color, pictured below.

This is the second shooting in West Point in a week.
