Auburn first responders are on the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in the evening hours of Thanksgiving Day.

The accident occurred in the northbound side of Interstate 85 before Exit 51. It is unknown what vehicles are involved and if anyone was injured.

Travelers are asked to avoid the area.
