LaGrange man struck by pistol during armed robbery on Miller Street while walking to work

A LaGrange walking to work this evening was struck by a pistol while being robbed by two unknown suspects.

LaGrange police responded to the area of Miller Street at Leeman Street, in reference to an armed robbery, on November 11, 2022, at 10:19 p.m.

Officers made contact with the victim, who advised that he was walking to work on Miller Street when two unknown men ran at him from behind the railroad bridge that goes over Miller Street. “The victim advised that the men knocked him down and removed his wallet from his back pocket,” police said.

The victim stated that when he attempted to stand up, one of the men produced a pistol and struck him in the head with it, causing minor injury to his head. The suspects ran from the scene in the direction of Dunson Street.
