A LaGrange man is uninjured after shots were fired into his home today.

Officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Houston Street in reference to shots fired in the area on February 2, 2023, at approximately 8:26 P.M.

Before they could arrive, 911 advised that they had received a second call of shots fired into an occupied residence at 911 Houston Street.

When officers arrived, they spoke to the uninjured victim who said he was inside his residence when he heard a noise coming from the area of his television.

“When he went to check out the noise, he discovered that a bullet had entered his house, come through television stand and lodged into his couch,” police stated. Carter was not injured during this incident.

At this time the identity of the suspect or suspects is unknown. The Criminal Investigations Section is currently conducting an investigation into this incident.
