A man has been arrested in a January 2023 homicide in Columbus.

The shooting, which occurred on January 15, 2023 in the 2900 block of 3rd Avenue, left Kameron Holcey deceased. The Columbus Police Department’s Homicide Unit took lead on the investigation and issued warrants for Hill’s arrest on January 19, 2023.

The U.S. Marshals arrested 36-year-old Quincy Hill, also known as “Ty”, at a hotel in Phenix City, AL on February 2, 2023. The warrants for Hill’s arrest were for the following offenses: Murder, possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Hill was extradited to Columbus, GA on February 3, 2023.
