Local Columbus schools, including Blackmon Road Middle School, are on a perimeter lockdown late morning into early afternoon.

The school said in an email, they had received information there is a suspected threat in the neighborhood surrounding our school.

“Our students and staff are safe,” the school said. “The MCSD police and CPD are on the scene and have secured the perimeter temporarily.”

There will be a continued presence around the school.
