A fatal motorcycle crash in north Columbus has left one man dead.

The crash occurred around 11:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at JR Allen Parkway at Schomburg Road in Columbus.

The Columbus Fire and EMS, Muscogee County Coroner’s Office, and Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. 31-year-old Wendell Roderick Smith was pronounced dead at 11:55 P.M. at Piedmont Columbus Regional Emergency Room.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says no autopsy will be done and the family has been notified.
