Police in LaGrange are investigating a road rage shooting which left one woman facing charges.

Police say the investigation began on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at approximately 7:58 P.M., when officers responded to reports of shot(s) being fired on Springdale Drive at Broad Street. Officers met with the victim at 115 Vernon Street, Walgreens, and he told officers that this incident started as a road rage incident on Vernon Street near Medical Parkway.

“The victim reported that a red Nissan sedan began following him and continued to follow him to the intersection of Springdale Drive and Broad Street,” police said. The victim reported that while stopped at the red light a female exited the red Nissan sedan with a firearm and began questioning why he was driving the way he was.”

The victim then reported that the female pointed a pistol towards his vehicle and as he began to drive away from the intersection he heard one shot fired from the handgun. Officers were able to confirm that there was one shot fired that struck the victim’s vehicle.

The female was identified as Trekendra Williams. Officers were able to make contact with Williams at her residence and she was ultimately arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault.
