Columbus Police Department, Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, Phenix City Police Department, and Russell County Sheriff’s Office were all involved in a high speed chase Thursday afternoon.

The chase began in Columbus and ended in Phenix City on Highway 280 near Walmart and S. Railroad Street. Authorities were chasing a red four-door vehicle. At least two subjects were seen being detained by authorities.

It is unknown why the suspects were running from authorities. This is a developing story.
