A teenager is recovering at an Atlanta hospital after being shot this week in West Point.

West Point Police Department was called to 1203 Davidson Street in reference to a person suffering from a gunshot wound on October 16, 2023, between 3:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

A minor, 14 years of age, with a gunshot wound to the chest area was found by officers at the scene.

 The minor victim was transported to The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta- Egleston where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

“We do have potential warrants on a suspect, pending the conclusion of the investigation which remains ongoing in a dynamic process,” police said.
