Teenager wanted, another arrested in murder of CTV Beam employee at Phenix City bank

Phenix City police remain investigating the murder of a CTV Beam employee and with the investigation ongoing a teenager has been arrested and another teenager is wanted.

Officers found a male suffering from a single gunshot wound in the rear parking lot of the Synovus Bank on 13th Street after they responded to a person shot call on December 12, 2023 at approximately 7:20 PM.

The victim, later identified as 23-year-old Ryan S. Boles, was pronounced deceased at 9:24 P.M. on the scene. Boles, who was a CSU graduate and an employee of CTV Beam, was leaving a Christmas party when the incident occurred, Captain Skip Lassiter with the Criminal Investigations Division of Phenix City Police Department.

Yesterday, a 16-year-old juvenile was arrested on Capital Murder and Robbery charges by investigators. Today in a press conference they announced 13-year-old Kumasie Ahmad was wanted in the case. Ahmad stands at 5’8” and weighs 150 pounds. He is known to be in the Phenix City area. Based on the circumstances of the incident, Ahmad may be armed.
