Incident involving selling of THC-infused gummies at Russell County Middle School under investigation

An investigation is underway after multiple Russell County students suffered health issues after THC-infused gummies were sold.

Principal April Parker of Russell County Middle School sent an email to parents Thursday evening to inform them about the safety matter that took place today.

In the email, Parker states, it was reported that students were selling THC-infused gummies on school premises. Some students consumed these gummies, resulting in health issues.

“We have addressed this issue and will continue to work closely with the Russell County Sheriff’s Department to resolve this matter,” Parker added. “We strongly advise parents and guardians to discuss the dangers of such substances with your student. Please emphasize the importance of reporting any questionable activity.”
