One injured in Hwy. 280 crash Sunday afternoon

Smiths Station Fire and Rescue, along with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, EAMC ETS, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a motor vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred near the Lee County Flea Market just down from the intersection of U.S. Highway 280 and Lee County Road 430. Smiths Station Fire Chief Blake Green confirmed two vehicles were involved and one patient was transported by Medic 1 ambulance to a local hospital.
