Woman injured, multiple dogs die in Columbus fire

A Columbus fire has injured a woman and killed her three dogs Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the call around 4:16 P.M. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, on Fair Oaks Drive. According to Columbus Fire and EMS Fire Marshal and Division Chief John Shull, a woman in her 70s was injured and transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. Three dogs did perish in the fire.

The fire left significant damage to the home and the fire remains under investigation.
