Russell County first responders are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision.

The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 80 West at Alabama Highway 169 South in the Crawford community of Russell County.

The sheriff’s office has confirmed one eastbound lane on U.S. Highway 80 and both lanes of Highway 169 South are blocked.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area til further notice.
