A deadly house fire is under investigation in the Pine Mountain community of Harris County.

The fire occurred in the morning hours of Friday, June 13, 2025, in the 400 block of East Harris Street in the Pine Mountain community of Harris County.

Harris County Coroner Joe Weldon has confirmed 54-year-old Bridgett Powell was pronounced deceased from the fire and was taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations for an autopsy.

The investigation is underway by Pine Mountain Police Department, Pine Mountain Fire Department, Harris County Coroner’s Office, Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.
