LaGrange police are investigating a shooting midday Thursday.
The shooting occurred around 12:16 P.M. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Woodland Trail Apartments on North Davis Eoad.
When officers responded to the scene, they quickly apprehended the suspect, Michael Ford, who was attempting to flee from the area. Ford was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Criminal Investigations Division was notified and has assumed responsibility for the investigation. Ford was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during certain felonies. “At the time of Ford’s arrest, he was on parole for attempted murder and aggravated assault,” police said.
