A large and active scene is underway in the Blue Creek area of Lake Martin in Tallapoosa County.

We are told an explosion occurred at 9:14 P.M. during the firework show near the 7280 Highway 49 South bridge.

Multiple injuries have been reported and at least three medical helicopters were called to the scene. EMS agencies in other counties, including Lee County, have been called to the scene to assist.
