A Columbus man, who was wanted in the shooting of his wife and his child, has turned himself in.
The shooting occurred around 6:43 P.M. on Monday, September 22, 2025, in the 1800 block of Susan Lane.

Shortly after, a separate 911 call was received reporting two gunshot victims at the Columbus Police Department’s East Precinct.
The victims, a 24-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son, were transported by ambulance to Piedmont Columbus Regional.
The child sustained minor injuries, and the woman is listed in critical condition.

Following an investigation by Violent Crimes detectives, Jontay Reynolds, 28, was identified as the suspect and a wanted BOLO was issued.
Reynolds is the father of the 7-year-old and the husband of the 24-year-old.
Following the issuance of the BOLO, Reynolds turned himself into police on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Reynolds is charged with Drive-By Shooting and two counts of Aggravated Assault (Family Violence).
