A Wedowee woman died Wednesday night after a head-on crash in Chambers County.
The crash involved a 2008 Ford Focus and a 2018 Ford F-250 occurred shortly before 5 p.m., on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, near the intersection of County Road 278 near County Road 266.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says Christina J. Vowell, 46, was critically injured when the 2008 Ford Focus she was driving collided head-on with the 2018 Ford F-250 pickup driven by a 55-year-old man from Five Points.
Vowell was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Ga., for medical treatment. Once at the hospital, Vowell succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
