Two men wanted in numerous Ulta thefts across the country, including in Opelika, have been arrested in south Florida.
The investigation began on October 3, 2025, when two suspects stole over $2,000 worth of fragrances at Ulta beauty store on Enterprise Drive in Opelika’s Tiger Town.
Through the investigation, it was determined that both males were well-known to the company and had stolen approximately $37,000 worth of merchandise across the country from various Ulta stores.

With assistance from numerous agencies throughout the southern United States, as well as Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Atlanta, the Opelika Police Department positively identified the suspects as 18-year-old Willy Jesus Diaz-Pelayo and 22-year-old Maikol Eduardo Garcia-Sanchez, both residents of Stone Mountain, GA.
According to police, their detectives were notified on December 1, 2025, by the HSI Atlanta that the suspects were located in Miami, FL, and were subsequently arrested by the Miami Police Department on numerous felony warrants throughout the country.
Their extradition to Alabama will be determined by HSI, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
