A Columbus man has died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night.
The vehicle and pedestrian-involved crash occurred on Manchester Expressway between County Line Road and JR Allen Parkway exit during the evening hours of Saturday, December 13, 2025.
The pedestrian, identified as 48-year-old Jonathan Demetrius Powell, was pronounced dead at 8:48 P.M. at Piedmont Columbus Regjonal, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
Powell will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing by the Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad Unit.
