A series of thefts and property crimes reported in late November in the Beauregard community has led to the arrest of two local men, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began on November 25, 2025, when a John Deere Gator was reported stolen from a business in the 1000 block of Lee Road 166. The following day, witnesses reported seeing two Black males driving what they believed to be the stolen Gator on private property in the 7000 block of Lee Road 146.

That same property owner reported his fence had been vandalized, allowing 19 cows to escape. On November 27 and 28, deputies received additional reports of two vehicles being broken into in a nearby neighborhood, with a firearm stolen from each vehicle. The neighborhood adjoins the property where the fence damage occurred.

Investigators identified 19-year-old Stantavious Glenn Lockhart Jr. of Beauregard as a suspect. On December 11, 2025, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at his residence in the 7000 block of Lee Road 146. Authorities recovered some of the stolen property along with additional stolen items, including firearms, passports and other identity documents, credit and debit cards, checkbooks, and a laptop equipped with a credit card reader. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found at the residence.
