A heavy police presence has been reported in Phenix City Wednesday night.

The presence is taking place on 28th Avenue near 13th Street.

Investigators are on scene and are taking images of evidence and laying down evidence markers where bullets are located.

At least one person was wounded and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Multiple police cruisers are in the area and at the scene, including one that is blocking one lane of travel.
