A winter weather advisory has been issued for multiple east Alabama counties in our viewing area.

Barbour, Russell, and Pike counties are now under the advisory from 3 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

According to the alert, snow accumulations is expected up to one inch.

Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Residents/driver should plan on slippery road conditions and slow down and use caution while traveling.
