UPDATE – CANCELED: Tornado Watch issued for parts of east Alabama, west Georgia

The Tornado Watch for our viewing area is now canceled. A tornado watch remains in effect to the south of our viewing area.


A tornado watch has been issued for parts of our viewing area in east Alabama and west Georgia.

The watch was issued for several counties in our viewing area: Macon, Russell, and Barbour counties in Alabama and Muscogee and Chattahoochee counties in Georgia. The watch is valid until 6 p.m. central standard time on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Other parts of southeast Alabama and southwest Georgia, and the Florida panhandle are also under the watch.

The National Weather Service says a few tornadoes are possible, isolated hail up to half an inch possible, and scattered wind gusts up to 70MPH possible.
