CNAW2News.com is working to learn of details at this hour following a motor vehicle crash involving a motor vehicle and a train.

The crash occurred along the train tracks on North Dean Road around 5:25 p.m. central time on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. Auburn Fire Department, Auburn Police Department and EAMC EMS are on scene.

Traffic is backed up near the railroad crossings on North Dean Road and East University Drive. N College Street and N Donahue Road crossings are clear.

Railroad crews via radio traffic indicate traffic was stopped and driver was “apparently on their phone and not paying attention and we hit them solid”

The driver’s current condition is unknown, but according to bystanders on scene they were alert at the time of transport.
