Damaging wind gusts and severe weather has brought road closures, along with traffic hazards and power outages across east Alabama and west Georgia.
TREES DOWN AND CRASHES
In Lee County: Smiths Station crews are working scenes involving trees and power lines down in the area of Lee Road 240 between Lee Road 236 and Lee Road 430, the 800 block of Lee Road 213, and Lee Road 309 near Lee Road 412. Beauregard crews were working trees down in the area of Lee Road 11. Crawford and Salem crews responded to a single vehicle crash on AL Highway 169 near Lee Road 2086.
In Russell County: Crews are working scenes involving trees and power lines down at N Herring Rd. and U.S. Hwy. 80, in the 500 block of Hwy. 26, in the 200 block of Nuckols Road. The Nuckols Road scene involves a vehicle striking a downed tree.
Tree down along with power lines on Alabama Highway 165 at Cedar Heights Road in Cottonton. Roadway is blocked while crews work.
Two vehicle crash reported on U.S. Hwy. 280 at Phenix Dr. (near Home Depot) in Phenix City. Left turning lane is blocked. Law enforcement on scene.
In Troup County, GA: Crews are working a motor vehicle crash along with a tree down on I-185 near Upper Big Springs Road with all lanes closed.

In Alabama:
Outages have been reported within the Clayton community of Barbour County.
Outages have been reported within south and central Russell County
Outages have been reported in the area of Lee Rd. 208, Lee Rd. 240, Lee Rd. 298 in Smiths Station
Outages have been reported in the area of Sanford Road and Crosswinds Road in Phenix City
Outages have been reported within north Opelika.
In Georgia:
Ladd Street in the Oakland Park area of Columbus
7th Street near Brown Avenue in Columbus
Lower Blue Springs Road at Highway 116 in Harris County. Diverse Power is reporting power outages in Pine Mountain Valley impacting about 300 customers, along with power outages along SR 116 west of Hamilton east of I-185, and south of Hamilton near US 27 and SR 208.
