Phenix City man killed in late Saturday night crash on AL-165 in Russell County
A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:17 p.m. Saturday, June 25, has claimed the life of a Phenix City man.
27-year-old Dakota Douglas Pelfrey was fatally injured when the 2014 Ducati he was operating struck a 2014 Toyota RAV4 driven by a 28-year-old Phenix City woman, identified as Erin L. Padgett.
Pelfrey was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 165 near the 20.2 mile marker, approximately 10 miles south of Phenix City, in Russell County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
