Serious accident blocks lanes of AL Hwy. 50 in Chambers County
A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m. central standard time on Monday, Sept. 5, has caused a road closure.
“All lanes of Alabama 50 near the 50-mile marker in Chambers County are currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time,” Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division said.
Chambers County Sheriff Sid Lockhart confirmed two people were deceased in the serious accident and they are believed to be out of town. Alabama State Troopers are working the crash scene now.
No other details have been confirmed at this time.
