Columbus Government Center evacuated after reports of smoke
Employees and citizens inside the Columbus Government Center were rushed out of the complex into surrounding streets after reports of smoke were made to officials.
One source is telling CNAW smoke was reported, which then led to a fire alarm. This caused the evacuation. Another source tells CNAW it was a false fire alarm. Both reports have not been confirmed by authorities.
Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Department of Fire and EMS are on the scene. This is a developing story.
