19-year-old killed in Saturday crash on Lee Road 145 in Salem
A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:48 p.m. Saturday, September 24, has claimed the life of an Opelika man.
Nicholas E. Northern, 19, was fatally injured when the 1993 Mazda Miata he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Northern was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Lee County 145, approximately eight miles east of Opelika, in Lee County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
