Auburn man killed in single-vehicle crash on Lee Road 54
An Auburn man was killed in a single vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Lee County, Ala.
Authorities responded to the crash site on Lee Road 54, approximately four miles south of Opelika, at 12:34 a.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2022. 37-year-old Victor A. Buchanan was critically injured when the 2006 Toyota Corolla he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Buchanan was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and succumbed to his injuries at East Alabama Medical Center.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
