Death investigation ongoing at railroad tracks near Liberty Avenue in Columbus
Columbus authorities are on the scene of a death investigation Wednesday morning.
The investigation is taking place near the intersection of Liberty Avenue at Bragg Smith Street. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says a person was found down on the railroad tracks.
The Columbus Police Department’s Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Investigations Division Unit, and Robbery and Assault Unit, which is also assisted by members of the Financial Crimes Unit are all on scene, along with the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office and Community Ambulance.
