Crime scene investigation underway on 29th Street in Columbus
A heavy police presence is underway near a Columbus recreation center on Christmas Eve after a body was discovered.

The police presence is taking place near 29th Street near the North Recreation Center, off of Veterans Parkway, early this morning. Crime scene tape was spotted surrounding the sidewalk and street.
A death investigation is underway, according to police. Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Elizabeth Allison is on the scene.
