First female Chief Deputy Coroner for Muscogee County sworn-in
The first female Chief Deputy Coroner for Muscogee County was sworn-in this morning.
Elizabeth Allison, who used to work in the emergency room and the intensive care unit, as well as being an EMT, before working at the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office. Allison began working at the office as a forensic driver transporting deceased persons to the GBI crime lab and making removals when necessary in 2016. Allison became Deputy Coroner in 2018 after city council approved her position.
Five years later, on today, February 9, 2023, Allison was sworn-in as her friends and family, as well as her boss Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, watched and supported her.
When CNAW2NEWS.com asked Bryan for a statement about Elizabeth becoming the first-ever female Chief Deputy Coroner, he said, “Elizabeth is extremely dedicated to the position and care she provides our families.”
“I am extremely proud of Elizabeth and know I can always depend on her to be there when needed,” Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan added. “She over sees the training for new deputies and represents my department on several committees. I can always count on Elizabeth to be there when needed.”
Congratulations Elizabeth!
