Lineman electrocuted while working on power lines in Columbus dies
A lineman is dead after being electrocuted Monday while working in Columbus.
The lineman, identified as 26-year-old Cody Lange, was electrocuted on Monday, February 20, 2023, while working on power lines, near the 1400 block of Double Churches Road in Columbus.
Lange was taken to St. Francis emergency room, where he was later pronounced dead at 12:17 A.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed.
Lange will be sent for an autopsy due to it being a work related death.
