Small plane makes emergency landing on Interstate 185 in Harris County
Authorities are on the scene of an emergency plane landing on a busy West Georgia interstate.
The plane landed on the side of Interstate 185 near Dennis Smith Road in Troup County, near the Harris County border. At least one Georgia State Patrol trooper is on the scene, as well as multiple Troup County deputies.
Before the landing, one viewer saw the plane flying low and bouncing. The plane has an Auburn University logo on it. Troup County Sheriff’s Office says the plane’s operator reported engine failure, and immediately landed it safely.
