Armed robbery reported at Hogansville business Tuesday morning
Hogansville police are investigating an early Tuesday morning armed robbery.
Police responded to the armed robbery in the 300 block of Askew Avenue at around 5:14 A.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The armed robbery occurred while the clerk was opening for the day.
“An unidentified male entered the premises, brandishing a firearm and demanding cash. The clerk complied, and the suspect departed on foot with an undisclosed amount of money,” police said. “Fortunately, no one was harmed, and the clerk immediately alerted authorities.”
Responding officers secured the scene, obtained surveillance video, and collected physical evidence, police added. The suspect remains at large, and investigators are actively reviewing leads while canvassing nearby areas.
Police is urging residents and businesses in the vicinity to review their doorbell, exterior, and security camera footage between 5:00 and 5:30 AM for any unusual activity. Any recordings showing individuals entering or leaving premises, or lingering in the area, could be crucial to the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator S. Williams at (706) 637‑6648 or via email at [email protected].
