Smiths Station, Beulah fire departments extinguish house fire in Lee County subdivision
Emergency crews from multiple agencies responded swiftly to a residential fire Wednesday evening in the 200 block of Lee Road 2206.
According to Smiths Station Fire Chief Blake Green, units from Smiths Station Fire, Beulah Fire, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Lee County Emergency Management Agency arrived on scene within eight minutes of being dispatched.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy flames coming from the Charlie side (rear) of the structure. Crews quickly deployed hand lines and initiated a coordinated attack, both inside and outside the home. Thanks to their efforts, the blaze was brought under control in less than an hour.
“There were no injuries to the residents or emergency responders,” Chief Green said in a statement. “Currently, the cause of the fire is undetermined. We are fixing to begin our investigation.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
