Woman arrested in fatal March crash on Lee Street in Columbus
Columbus police have arrested a woman in connection to a fatal motor vehicle crash in March.
Columbus Police Officers responded to the area of Lee St. and 28th Ave. on March 15, 2023, after a vehicle and a motorcycle collided.
The motorcyclist, Phillip Damren, 68, was transported to the hospital and later died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, Corintheus Diaz, 51, was arrested in connection to Damren’s death on April 11, 2023. Diaz is charged with Homicide by Vehicle 2nd Degree and a stop sign violation.
Diaz is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 9 a.m.
